Sing, Sing, Sing! - A World War II Era Musical Revue
American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) - Master of Fine Arts Program
The Garret - November 2016
For the 75th Anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, I worked with the 2nd Year students of A.C.T.'s Master in Fine Arts acting program on a musical revue of songs that examined the changing musical landscape before, during, and the years immediately after World War II. The setlist included songs spanning 1923-1947 from composers such as Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Rodgers/Hammerstein, and Jerome Kern and made popular by artists like Bing Crosby, the Andrew Sisters. Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Vera Lynn to name a few. Songs included: Cheek to Cheek, I Won't Dance, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, Ev'rytime We Say Goodbye, You'll Never Walk Alone.
